On the corner of Ingmar Bergmans gata and Nybrogatan, you’ll find Bâtard, a food bar for those who prefer good food, good wine and minimal fuss. The terrace stays open all summer, with plenty of room for both smaller groups and larger parties.

The menu is made for sharing, although no one will judge you for keeping your favourite dish to yourself. Start with oysters, crab croquettes with habanero mayo or focaccia with fresh goat’s cheese. Continue with grilled green asparagus, halibut crudo or grilled entrecôte skewers with mojo rojo and onion cream. For something more substantial, there is Saucisse Bâtard with lamb chorizo and bean ragout, as well as fettuccine with red prawn, scallop and shellfish bisque.

The food is accompanied by an extensive wine list, with something for both the curious and the already convinced. Order a glass, bring in a few dishes and let the evening last as long as it lasts.

Bâtard works just as well for a spontaneous dinner for two as it does for a larger group gathering around the table. The terrace is generous, the food is full of flavour and the atmosphere is relaxed without becoming too laid-back.
